Production Process

  • Pattern Creation: Creating a replica part by injecting wax into a die.
  • Tree Assembly: Compiling wax patterns into a gating system for molten metal flow.
  • Investment Stage: Immersing the assembly in high-grade ceramic slurry.
  • Coating: Building up an additional coating of coarse ceramic particles (up to 10mm).
  • Dewaxing: Melting wax from the dry mould to leave a hollow ceramic shell.
  • Firing: Heating moulds to 1000°C to remove wax residues and add durability.
  • Pouring: Pouring molten metal into pre-heated moulds for high dimensional accuracy.
  • Knock-out: Breaking the cooled shell mould to reveal the casting.
  • Finishing: Finishing via grinding, sandblasting, heat treatment, and surface polishing.
